Department of Statistics

      Statistics is the King of Mathematics and Computer science, The Department of Statistics was established in 1983. The subject is offered in combination with Computer Science and Mathematics. The basic aim of introducing the course was to enable students to take up careers in governmental services and private companies. With Statistics being one of the subject in civil service examination of the UPSC and APPSC,the department has gained immense popularity among the student community.

      The Department has well qualified, committed and dedicated faculty who participate in various national and international seminars. The Department involves the students in various activities like debate, discussions, quiz etc. It offers special coaching to the students who appeal in various competitive examinations. Special attention is paid for the week students.

      The Department moulds the students of Statistics as a good citizen of the country and enables them to guide their fellow citizen to build a healthy nation.
